Fedak Ivan is the Associate Professor.
He was born in 1958. He graduated from the Vasyl Stefanyk Ivano-Frankivsk Pedagogical Institute in 1979 on the specialty “Mathematics”.
He studied at the graduate school at the Institute of Mathematics of Academy of Sciences. In 1988 he defended his thesis on “On correct solvability of Cauchy problem for differential-operator equation by the fourth order in Hilbert space”. Since 1989 he is Associate Professor.
He is an Excellence in Education of Ukraine, Soros teacher.
He is the Head of the problem group for students “Solving the problems of high complexity”.
Since 1990 he is jury member of Ukrainian Olympiad in Mathematics, since 2006 he is jury member of the tournament of young mathematicians.
He provides teaching of normative courses: “Theory of measure and Lebesgue integral”, “Approximate methods for solving applied problems”, “Functional Analysis” and special courses “Integral equations”, “Functional equation”, ” Solving the problems of high complexity “.
His research interests are boundary value problems for operator-differential equations, innovative approaches to solving of Olympiad problems.
